Become a Jury Duty Peer Supporter at the Canadian Juries Commission!

  • Peer Supporters are able to turn a period of challenge in their life into an asset that can make other’s journeys less lonely and less distressing

  • Through meaningful connection Peer Supporters can accelerate the journey from ‘just surviving’ to ‘thriving’

  • The Jury Duty Peer Support program is a pilot project currently only open to BC residents

  • Peer Supporters at the Canadian Juries Commission have served on a jury and have experienced stress as a result of the experience

  • Peer Supporters receive formal training aligned to national standards

  • Training gives Peer Supporters the skills and confidence to use their experience to support, walk alongside and make meaningful connections with others who face challenges after their jury service

  • You’ll get the opportunity to be role model, build hope and confidence, and to be inclusive and accepting for others that feel alone

  • No education or specific employment experience is required
